One sunny day, a tortoise was walking slowly in the garden.
He saw a little bird sitting on a tree branch.

“Tweet! Tweet! I can fly so high!” sang the bird.
“Tweet! Tweet! I can fly so high!” sang the bird.
The tortoise looked up and said,
“Oh, I wish I could fly like you. Walking is so slow. Flying looks so much fun!”

The bird smiled and said,
“But dear tortoise, you have a strong shell to keep you safe. I don’t have that. We are all special in our own way.”

The tortoise thought for a while.
He touched his hard shell and smiled.
“Yes, you are right. I have my own gift.”
